The lock is going to install inside of our tailgate behind the handle here, that way it will prevent anybody from tampering with it, but at the same time it's going to keep that nice clean OEM look. And with more and more trucks coming with backup cameras built into the handle, our Pop & Lock is going to fit and it's not going to interfere with it.Our Pop & Lock is made out of stainless steel, so it is going to help prevent that rust and corrosion and last us a long time. Speaker 1: Today on our 2019 Honda Ridgeline, we're going to be installing Pop & Lock's custom power tailgate lock, part number PAL8600. This power locking system's going to keep all the cargo stored in the bed of your truck, whether it's behind a inaudible 00:00:16 cover or camper shelf. Speaker 1: Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we're going to be installing the Pace-Edwards Powergate electric tailgate lock, part number 311-LK270. This system is only designed to work with vehicles with factory automatic locks. If you have a manual locking system, you'll need to purchase a switch kit, such as part number PAL9520. Even though you have a tonneau cover on your vehicle, if you don't have a locking tailgate, it doesn't offer any protection from theft. Anybody can just walk up, open your tailgate, and steal your precious cargo. But with this automatic locking tailgate latch, you can now protect your cargo with the click of a button just like you we're locking your vehicle. And while it works great with the tonneau cover we've got here, it'll also work fantastically with a camper shell. more

We can use our factory key, that starts our truck and opens our doors, without a problem, to gain access to our tailgate. Today on our 2015 Toyota Tacoma we're going to show you how to install the Pop & Lock Custom Locking Tailgate Handle. This has the black finish and a manual lock. Part number is PAL5500. Turning counter-clockwise and bringing our key back to center will allow us to remove it, and our tailgate will remain unlocked. When we're ready to seal everything up, turn it that other way, which would be clockwise, bring it back to center, and now while the handle will still move, it's not actually going to work the mechanism and open our tailgate up. Now, the first thing we want to do is get a T30 Torx bit, and we're going to start removing the screws here on the back of the tailgate holding on the access panel. We can set those aside. We're going to lift up on the bottom of the access panel, and then slide it toward the tailgate, just like that. more

We'll first begin by removing the threshold piece of plastic right here, as well as this kick plate area on the left-hand side. Once we have both of these two pieces of interior panel removed, now we're ready to begin on the door. To remove the door, we'll need to remove a combination of some push fasteners, as well as some screws, as well as some interior cover parts on the door as well.
